Prior to attending Hope Weekend, Mark and Susie were one meeting away from finalizing their divorce. All that was left to discuss with their lawyers was custody of the kids, but at the last moment, they decided to attend Hope Weekend so they could say they’d tried everything.

Though not located in Central Florida, they decided to attend Hope Weekend in Orlando so their parents could care for the children.

​

The Hope Weekend they attended had a large group of couples, and the instructors, Kristi and Andy, had called good friends from Tallahassee, Carol and Allen, to travel down and help coach.

​

When Mark and Susie arrived to Hope Weekend, they were surprised to see their wedding photographers from eleven years earlier; Carol and Allen had taken photos of their wedding and now they were here to coach them and try to help them save their marriage.

Throughout the weekend, Mark and Susie saw hope grow. They were able to address the hard issues in their marriage, and they experienced forgiveness and significant healing. Mark and Susie canceled that final divorce meeting and have since renewed their vows and are now thriving in a healthy marriage that they never imagined possible. And those coaches who showed up at just the right time? Carol and Allen were reminded that the work they do for Live the Life is God ordained and is making a difference in the lives of those they get to help. Together, they love being part of saving and strengthening marriages across the state and beyond!
