VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT | a Panama City story...
Dean and Marcy Corse have been married for 43 years, but their marriage almost didn’t survive. In 2018 their lives were turned upside down by Hurricane Michael and the stress of life brought their marriage to its limits. In 2019, on the verge of divorce, they got involved with the marriage ministry at a local church and went through Adventures in Marriage.
The Adventures in Marriage program greatly benefited the Corses, but it was specifically the coaching that made such a difference. Once they were through their own crisis, Dean and Marcy decided they wanted to help other couples in their community by becoming coaches for the Adventures in Marriage program.
Since becoming coaches, Dean and Marcy have coached at over 20 Adventures in Marriage classes and become certified Adventures in Marriage instructors. They also serve in other marriage programs and ministries throughout their community. Together, Dean and Marcy are committed to strengthening and restoring marriages any way they can. Dean and Marcy say that the most rewarding thing they experience as coaches is getting to see troubled couples turn things around as they learn and use the skills we offer and teach in our Adventures in Marriage program.
Because of the incredible difference Adventures in Marriage made in Dean and Marcy’s lives, their marriage was not only saved, but they have become true champions of marriage, who now consider marriage ministry to be their calling and passion!
