CLASS OVERVIEW
We are excited to invite all educators and first responders to our upcoming Navigating Us Marriage Class, funded through the Federal Helping Every Area of Relationships Thrive (HEART) Grant at NO COST to you or your spouse.
This interactive experience is designed to strengthen communication, deepen connection, and equip couples with practical tools to navigate marriage with confidence and purpose. Each husband and wife will need to register individually. Please note your attendance is needed for all four sessions.
Most couples do not know “how” to be married. Navigating US helps couples discover better ways to meet each other’s needs, communicate, resolve conflict, express anger, avoid dirty fighting, and understand how their personality styles impact the quality of their relationship. Fun, practical, and easy to learn, Navigating US is designed to reach couples across the spectrum – from happy and highly motivated to struggling and stressed.
Navigating US uses the latest research to provide specific, practical, attainable skills for a successful marriage. Come learn how to create the marriage you have always wanted with the spouse you already have!
Here are some of the benefits that couples experience:
Recognize when communication styles are more of a problem than the actual problem at hand.
Develop the ability to feel genuine empathy for your partner instead of secret resentment.
Express yourself clearly so that your thoughts and feelings can be recognized and understood without causing your spouse to feel defensive, overwhelmed, manipulated or inadequate.
Avoid assumptions and mind reading that often lead to misunderstandings between couples.
Accept and express anger without destroying love.
Constructively resolve issues at hand and feel closer to your spouse through the process.
Acknowledge and enjoy the differences between you and your spouse.
Understand what went wrong in the past and/or what is still going wrong now.
