Healthy relationships require skills to thrive.

At Live the Life, one of our key distinctives is teaching people practical, transformational relationship skills through experiential learning and evidence-based programs. We show people HOW to have a stronger marriage, HOW to become a godly man, HOW to make better life choices during the teen years, and HOW to build a healthy family. People move beyond knowledge and information into execution through experiential learning and developing practical, hands-on skills.

Scholars have been warning us for decades that putting marriage AFTER the baby carriage is risky. Research clearly indicates that young adults who put education, work, marriage, and parenthood in the right order have dramatically better life outcomes on a broad range of indicators. Research also indicates men, women, and children are much more likely to enjoy a stable and supportive family life when they sequence marriage before parenthood. Real Essentials provides relationship and leadership skills to educate, equip, and empower teenagers to live and love well. It helps realign marriage and parenthood and put them back in the proper order by promoting the "success sequence:" 1) get your education, 2) get a job, 3) get married, 4) then have children. Census data show that if all Americans finished high school, worked full time at whatever job they then qualified for with their education, and married at the same rate as Americans had married in 1970, the poverty rate would be cut by around 70% — without additional government spending. No welfare program, however amply funded, could ever hope for anything approaching such success.

It's no secret, relationships are tough. Sometimes, it feels like no matter how much you care about each other, it's difficult to get on the same page. Or maybe you both have tons of questions about how to fight fair, create boundaries and set goals together. You can ask friends for advice, or read blogs about other people's interactions, but what about doing something together that could take your relationship to the next level? Becoming Someone's Someone is an entertaining experience for couples who are seriously dating or living together. Whether you fear you're incompatible or just wish you could communicate better, you'll leave with a clear picture of what a healthy relationship looks like and what it takes to get there.
