OVERVIEW

Start Smart is a comprehensive premarital program that has 4 core elements:

1. A premarital inventory driven by current research that provides a comprehensive
   profile of a couple’s strengths and growth areas in 13 critical categories.  The cost
   of the Inventory is $25 per couple.  
2. A 56 page workbook packed with innovative exercises and meaningful content. 
   The workbook is free for everyone who purchases the inventory
3. Five optional mentoring sessions with trained “Marriage Coaches” to process
   inventory results and workbook exercises.  Marriage Coaches use the Start Smart
   Report as an outline for facilitating appropriate and on-target discussion. 
4. Experiential learning of essential communication and conflict resolution skills

CERTIFICATION TRAINING FOR MARRIAGE COACHES

• Cost of Start Smart Marriage Coach Certification Training is $49 per couple.  Host
  church/organization in given city must have minimum of 20 paid couples, and be
  willing to cover modest travel fees for the Instructor
• In order to reach low income and at-risk communities, for each 10 paid couples who
  register for a Start Smart Certification Training, Live the Life will provide one FREE training to a small church or non profit of Host organization's choosing
• Certification Training must include at least 7 hours of training, generally 9 - 4 pm Saturday 
• Certification Training can be taken via DVD as a "TOOB" (Teach Out Of One Box) for $199
• All Start Smart Marriage Coaches who receive the certification training must also pass the online test with a score of at least 80%.  The test is an "open book" format and available at www.westartsmart.com
• Annual Renewal fee for Marriage Coaches is $25 per year
